Job Description
Clinical Ink is seeking a VP, eClinical Solutions Sales to to join our Commercial team based in the United States. In this role, you will serve as the credible, detail-level voice of the platform in every deal - translating Clinical Ink's eCOA and Connected Device capabilities into clear, confident answers for sponsors and CROs during demonstrations and Bid Defense Meetings (BDMs). You must be equally comfortable discussing platform functionality, delivery timelines, translation/localization capabilities, how the logistics and depot network provisions devices around the world, and how Clinical Ink's solutions compare against competitor eCOA and connected-device offerings. The VP, eClinical Solutions Sales' responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the primary solution subject matter expert (SME) in all product demonstrations, discovery calls, and Bid Defense Meetings, both on-site and remote, representing Clinical Ink alongside Sales and Business Development.
  • Present and speak in-depth to Clinical Ink's core eClinical solutions including how each solution is configured and deployed for both at-home and on-site (clinic) use cases.
  • Confidently and accurately articulate standard delivery and implementation timelines across the eClinical portfolio, tailoring examples to study design, region, and complexity.
    • Speak to translation and localization capabilities, including supported languages, turnaround timelines, and the process for adding new languages/countries to a study.
    • Explain how the Logistics/Depot team provisions, kits, and ships devices, and speak knowledgeably to the global depot network and regional coverage.
    • Respond to detailed technical, operational, and clinical questions in real time during client-facing meetings, maintaining credibility under scrutiny.
  • Maintain current, working knowledge of competing eCOA platforms and connected-device capabilities, and clearly articulate Clinical Ink's points of differentiation during demonstrations and BDMs.
  • Serve as a trusted, senior-level point of contact for global sponsor stakeholders, drawing on an established track record of sponsor relationships to build credibility and confidence throughout the sales cycle.
  • Partner with Sales, Solution Architects, Product and Delivery teams to tailor demonstrations and BDM content to sponsor- and protocol-specific requirements.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise to RFP/RFI responses, proposal content, and bid strategy sessions.
  • Partner with Product Management to maintain current, deep knowledge of the product roadmap, competitive landscape, and industry trends in eClinical/eCOA technology.
  • Travel as needed/required to support on-site client meetings and Bid Defense Meetings, globally.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, business, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in the clinical trials industry, including required experience at a CRO.
  • Must have prior experience at the Director level (or above) at a CRO or eClinical technology company.
  • Deep working knowledge of eClinical platforms and clinical trial operations (eCOA, eConsent, ePRO, direct data capture, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of competitor eCOA platforms and connected-device capabilities, with the ability to speak credibly to how Clinical ink compares.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical and operational information clearly and persuasively to sponsor and CRO audiences.
  • Established history of building and maintaining relationships with global sponsors, with credibility at senior/executive stakeholder levels.
  • Comfort operating in high-stakes, live client settings, including Bid Defense Meetings with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Sales, Delivery, Logistics, and Localization teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Prior experience specifically with eCOA and CGM solutions or comparable eCOA/eClinical platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting global studies, including familiarity with device logistics, depot operations, and multi-language/multi-region deployments preferred.
  • Prior experience in a Sr. Director or other senior pre-sales/solutions-engineering role within clinical technology, CRO, or sponsor organizations preferred.
