MD Ally integrates with public-safety systems to redirect eligible non-emergency 9-1-1 callers to lower-cost care, creating a new clinical intervention point before a member enters the highest-cost transportation and emergency department pathway. This leader will build internal coalitions.

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Contract and Reimbursement Growth: Secure in-network provider agreements and reimbursement arrangements.
  • Pipeline Conversion: Build a qualified payor pipeline and advance opportunities from initial education through negotiation, contracting, and revenue activation.

  • Value Story: Use MD Ally's clinical, utilization, and economic evidence to present a clear case for lowering the cost of care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify the decision process inside each payor and build the cross-functional coalition required to move an opportunity.
  • Negotiate in-network provider contracts, reimbursement terms, and related commercial agreements in coordination with MD Ally leadership and internal subject-matter experts.
  • Anticipate contracting delays and common payor obstacles; establish a plan to resolve each issue before it stalls the opportunity.
  • Translate payor feedback into actionable recommendations for market expansion, contracting strategy, analytics, implementation, and the ongoing development of the payor value proposition.
  • Measure performance against executed contracts, reimbursement activation, pipeline conversion, booked revenue, and progress within priority states.

  • Substantial senior-level experience selling to and contracting with U.S. health plans or other risk-bearing healthcare organizations.
  • A demonstrated record of closing complex payor agreements and converting lengthy enterprise sales processes into signed, revenue-producing contracts.
  • Direct experience securing in-network provider arrangements, reimbursement, or comparable payor contracting structures for a clinical or tech-enabled care model.
  • Working knowledge of Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid lines of business and the different priorities, stakeholders, and contracting considerations within each.
  • Experience with fee-for-service reimbursement; exposure to per-member-per-month or value-based arrangements is strongly preferred.
  • Relevant experience in emergency department diversion, avoidable utilization, mobile integrated health, community paramedicine, telehealth, or another tech-enabled clinical service is highly valued.
  • An established payor network that can accelerate access to senior decision makers in priority markets.
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial or growth-stage healthcare company.

LEADERSHIP CAPABILITIES

  • Executive presence and gravitas to lead discussions with senior payor stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively, and maintain momentum through difficult negotiations.
  • A persuasive, adaptable communication style that can make an unfamiliar care model understandable and relevant to different payor audiences.
  • Strong coalition-building skills and the judgment to identify champions, blockers, decision makers, and the sequence required for approval.
  • Commercial discipline, including account planning, qualification, forecasting, next-step ownership, and early identification of risk.
  • Autonomy, sound judgment, and the ownership mindset required for the Founder and CEO to delegate payor opportunities with confidence that they will reach conclusion.
