Role Description
JRI-America, a division of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp is seeking an Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM (EPM) functional support to help implementing key initiatives on the Oracle platform due to rapid growth in SMBC legal entities and ledgers, including the formation of Bank Holding Company and Group Companies. Having a solid finance and accounting business awareness, a key competency of the role will be the ability to develop a thorough understanding of our financial business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements within the Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM family. The individual will then call upon his/her technical and functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM to deliver application design, module configuration/setup, user acceptance testing, and end-user training. Project Management across the full SDLC is a plus for this position. The scope of the role supports financial business users in North America and EMEA locations.
Position Responsibilities/Duties
• Provide functional support for Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM modules (mainly Financial Consolidation and Close, Account Reconciliation, EDM, and Reporting) for North America and EMEA.
• Analyze, design, configure, and test enhancements to support business processes.
• Participate in Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM projects involving configuration, implementation, testing, and user training.
• Liaise across IT domains to deliver Oracle EPM functionality, including infrastructure engineering, database, security, and operations support.
• Provide day-to-day support of the Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM environment, including applying periodic patches, fulfilling reporting requirements, responding to ad hoc business requests, and supporting production systems.
• Continuously review opportunities to improve how the Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM platform is leveraged and promote best practices.
• Produce detailed system requirements specifications, data flow diagrams, test plans, swim lane diagrams, and process documentation using standardized methodologies.
• Ensure proposed solutions comply with the company's technology direction.
• Ensure compliance with the company's change management and security policies.
• Work closely with internal and external Oracle development teams in the creation and validation of user interfaces and functional and non-functional requirements.
• Provide general technical support for the Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM system and conduct user training as needed.
• Participate in late-night production support and weekend implementation activities as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM concepts, functionality, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- Experience implementing Oracle Cloud EPM modules, including:
- Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS)
- Account Reconciliation (ARCS)
- Enterprise Data Management (EDM)
- Financial Reporting and related modules
- Ability to document and communicate end-to-end business processes, identify key integration points, and collaborate across multiple functional areas.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive consensus and present complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team-oriented environment.
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative, and results-driven organizations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Functional leadership experience supporting and implementing financial systems and new Oracle EPM modules.
- Minimum 5 years of Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of TOAD and SQL experience required.
- Experience within the financial services, finance, or accounting industry preferred.
- Project management experience, including proficiency with Microsoft Project, preferred.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM Certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM Certification.
- Experience leading Oracle EPM implementations from requirements gathering through production support.
- Prior experience working with cross-functional finance, technology, and business stakeholders in large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of system integrations, financial reporting, and data governance best practices.
