Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an experienced Wastewater Project Engineer for our Manchester, NH office. As part of our wastewater team, this position will be involved with a wide variety of wastewater infrastructure projects, focusing on treatment process design and construction. Our work includes planning, design, and oversight of construction of environmental infrastructure – for water, wastewater, and stormwater management. Work Setting: Hybrid (remote and office) Key Responsibilities: Support the development of technical treatment strategies, selection of treatment processes, developing process design criteria, and delivering projects Assist with client coordination and collaboration Work on interdisciplinary teams to effectively meet the client’s needs Coordinate with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery Support preparation of proposals and presentations Participate in fieldwork and perform site visits from planning through construction that may be required, with occasional travel if needed Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering PE license 5-10 years of experience in the field of wastewater-related infrastructure, including project engineering/management (planning, design, and construction) Proficient in all MS Office based computer software Experience in successfully delivering support to projects spanning multiple years, on collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies Self-starter with attention to detail Strong organizational skills Must be capable of presenting complex issues to nontechnical people Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Civil/Environmental Engineering What We Offer: Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans) Pre-tax flexible spending plans for medical, dependent care, and transportation Short and long-term disability, and employer paid life insurance Paid holidays, floating holidays, and paid time off (PTO) Employer-contributed 401(k) plan and additional financial planning support Professional growth opportunities, including tuition reimbursement, in-house training, and incentives for professional registration and professional organization memberships Starting pay range for this position depends on skills, experience, education and geographical location
