Role Description The Water Well Fundraiser is a full-time remote role responsible for securing financial support for community water well projects. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and researching potential donors, partners, and grant opportunities; preparing compelling proposals, reports, and impact stories; and managing fundraising campaigns across digital and traditional channels. The role coordinates with program teams to gather project data, success stories, and budgets, translating them into clear, persuasive appeals and donor updates. This position also involves building and maintaining relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners, tracking fundraising progress, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. The Water Well Fundraiser collaborates with colleagues to develop creative campaign concepts, organize virtual events, and promote Wendi’s water initiatives in alignment with the organization’s mission and values. Qualifications
Fundraising and development skills, including donor research, grant writing, and campaign planning for water and community projects.
Strong communication abilities, with experience in proposal writing, storytelling, and presenting impact to diverse audiences.
Digital outreach skills, such as social media campaigning, email marketing, and online fundraising platform management.
Relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, including partnership development and donor stewardship.
Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, and reports remotely.
Experience in non-profit, community development, or international development settings is highly beneficial.
Comfort working with basic data, budgets, and impact metrics to support transparent reporting and decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Development Studies, Communications, Social Sciences, or Business) or equivalent experience.
