We are looking for a motivated and creative Signage and Wayfinding Designer to join our Dubai studio, supporting the delivery of high-profile projects across the Middle East. This is an opportunity for an emerging designer with a strong interest in signage, wayfinding and environmental design to learn, grow and develop within a multidisciplinary design environment.
The ideal candidate is curious, proactive, detail-oriented and excited to build their expertise in wayfinding while supporting the wider signage team across different stages of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the signage and wayfinding team in the development of wayfinding strategies, sign families and design concepts.
- Assist with the preparation of sign location plans, message schedules, sign type drawings and presentation materials.
- Support research, benchmarking and analysis of user journeys, destinations and wayfinding requirements.
- Assist in developing graphic layouts, typography, pictograms, colour systems and other visual elements for signage.
- Work collaboratively with architects, landscape designers, graphic designers and other disciplines to coordinate wayfinding requirements.
- Support the preparation and coordination of project deliverables under the guidance of senior team members.
- Participate in site visits, design reviews and workshops while developing an understanding of signage materials, fabrication and implementation.
Preferred Attributes:
- Genuine enthusiasm for signage and wayfinding design and a desire to develop a career within the discipline.
- Curious, proactive and comfortable asking questions and learning from senior designers.
- Strong design sensibility with an interest in typography, information design, architecture and the built environment.
- Positive team player with the ability to adapt, take initiative and grow within an expanding signage and wayfinding team.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, Architecture or a related field.
- 2 years of professional experience; strong graduates with relevant portfolios are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interest in signage, wayfinding, environmental graphics and user experience within the built environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Keyshot. Revit or other relevant design software is an advantage.
- Good visual communication, graphic design and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new tools, processes and technical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary design environment.
