WEB ACCESSIBILITY TESTER

Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Location: Remote; occasional onsite support may be required in Springfield, Virginia Employment Type: Full-Time Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, generally between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time Contract Status: Contingent upon contract award POSITION SUMMARY Magnus is seeking a DHS-certified Trusted Tester Level I to evaluate websites, web applications, electronic content, and other Information and Communications Technology for conformance with Section 508 accessibility requirements. The selected candidate will apply the current DHS Trusted Tester Section 508 Conformance Test Process for Web and use DHS-approved assessment methods, testing tools, and reporting formats. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct Section 508 accessibility testing of websites, web applications, electronic content, and other ICT. Apply the DHS Trusted Tester Section 508 Conformance Test Process for Web, Version 5.0 or later. Use current DHS-approved accessibility assessment methods, testing tools, procedures, and reporting formats. Perform manual and tool-assisted accessibility testing, as applicable. Identify and document accessibility defects accurately and consistently. Prepare complete and traceable accessibility testing results. Maintain supporting test evidence and documentation. Communicate testing findings to accessibility specialists, project teams, and Government stakeholders. Follow applicable DHS accessibility policies, procedures, standards, and technical guidance. Maintain current DHS Trusted Tester certification throughout contract performance. Complete required skills-currency and professional-development activities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Current DHS Trusted Tester Version 5.0 certification or later. At least one year of accessibility testing experience. Basic knowledge of the Revised Section 508 Standards. Familiarity with the DHS Trusted Tester testing methodology. Ability to prepare accurate and understandable accessibility test documentation. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience testing websites or web applications in a Federal Government environment. Familiarity with the Harmonized ICT Testing Baseline for Web. Familiarity with common web accessibility barriers affecting people with disabilities. Experience communicating accessibility defects to developers, content owners, or program personnel. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must maintain DHS Trusted Tester Version 5.0 or later certification throughout contract performance. Must satisfy applicable DHS suitability and Entry on Duty requirements. Must comply with DHS security, privacy, conduct, and information-protection requirements. Must be able to work remotely and report onsite to DHS/TSA Headquarters in Springfield, Virginia, if requested. Occasional work outside normal business hours may be required when authorized by the Government. Flexible work from home options available.
