Role: Web Designer

Employment Type: This position is part of TalentPop’s Managed Services offering and will be dedicated exclusively to supporting Mediagistic. The individual will work directly with Mediagistic as an extension of their internal team, while TalentPop manages employment, HR support, and administrative operations.

Location(s): Philippines, Kenya, India, Pakistan, Jamaica, Ghana, Nigeria

Schedule / Time Zone Expectations:

  • Days: Monday - Friday (20hr week/Part-Time)

  • Hours: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM US Eastern Time

About the Role

The Web Designer at Mediagistic will be responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly websites that align with client goals, branding standards, and best practices in web design. This hands-on, production-focused role involves designing and building websites, completing page updates and revisions, and delivering high-quality digital experiences from concept through launch. Working within a collaborative Web Team of approximately 4–6 members, including a Project Manager, Team Lead, and fellow Web Designers, this individual will partner closely with the Project Manager and Marketing Team to translate client needs into effective web solutions. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of web design principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and consistency.

Essential Functions

  • Build and update responsive websites using a website builder (such as Divi) based on provided designs, client specifications, and branding guidelines

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, Team Lead, and Marketing Team to refine website layouts and functionality

  • Ensure websites are optimized for performance, accessibility, and user experience

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends, tools, and best practices

  • Turn around revisions and project updates quickly and accurately in a fast-paced production environment

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute and build web pages that reflect client objectives and brand standards

  • Prepare and optimize graphics, images, and other web assets

  • Implement SEO best practices within web design

  • Test websites for usability and responsiveness across devices and browsers

  • Troubleshoot and resolve website design issues post-launch

  • Submit completed work for internal review and incorporate feedback into final deliverables

  • Work with the Project Manager and Marketing Team to understand website scope, requirements, and production priorities

  • Contribute creative ideas for digital projects

  • Communicate clearly with the internal team about progress, revisions, questions, and project needs

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of professional web design experience

  • Hands-on experience building and editing websites with a website builder

  • Familiarity with content management systems (such as WordPress)

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript

  • Basic understanding of UX/UI principles

  • Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first web design

  • Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of design principles, layout, and element placement, with the ability to use core tools without extensive training

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating web design work

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and turn around revisions and projects quickly

  • Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including clear updates to the internal team on progress, revisions, and questions, and comfort receiving feedback

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience with Divi (strongly preferred), the WordPress visual builder used to create and edit website pages

  • Experience with Livecanvas, particularly for creating supporting website graphics and visual assets

  • Experience working in a digital marketing or advertising agency environment, including collaboration with Brand Managers or marketing teams

  • Experience implementing SEO principles in web design

  • Knowledge of current web design trends and best practices

  • Experience with HVAC or similar equipment-related brands (familiarity with the client’s products and equipment is helpful but not required)

  • Comfort using AI tools as part of the design workflow

Benefits

  • Healthcare: Full-Time Agents (35+ Hours/week)

    • HMO coverage (Currently for PH and Jamaica full-time agents, eligible after 90 days of active employment)

    • All agents outside of PH/Jamaica receive a $20 USD stipend every month as a medical allowance for HMO subsidy.

  • Paid Time Off is accrued after 90 days of working with TalentPop

    • Year 1: 8 hrs (1 day) of PTO is accrued for every 320 hours worked

    • Year 2: 8 hrs (1 day) of PTO is accrued for every 160 hours worked

  • Holidays:

    • Holy Week (Two Paid Days of your choice) - If you wish to take additional time off, you will need to get approval from the client and it will be marked as unpaid leave.

    • Christmas Eve

    • Christmas Day

    • New Year’s Day

    • Note: For those team members who are not from the Philippines, you will be awarded 2 additional floating days which can be used as Holiday Time Off.
