Web Designer/Developer III – .NET / Front-End (REMOTE)

Koniag Operations Services, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Web Designer/Developer III – .NET / Front-End to support KOS and our government customer. The position is remote.

The Web Designer/Developer III is an integral member of a team supporting a federal client’s application development and modernization efforts. This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and documenting secure web and database applications. The ideal candidate brings strong .NET and front-end development experience, UI/UX capabilities, API integration experience, and the ability to work effectively with technical teams, security personnel, and business stakeholders. The position is 100% remote within CONUS, with Eastern Time Zone candidates preferred but not required.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and document secure web and database applications using .NET technologies.
- Develop responsive, user-focused front-end solutions incorporating sound UI/UX principles.
- Work within Agile development processes across requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Gather and translate customer and stakeholder requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and securely integrate APIs, databases, and external data feeds.
- Apply secure development practices, including OWASP-aligned coding standards.
- Develop and support cloud-based applications in Azure, leveraging Azure and AWS development experience as required.
- Maintain source code, technical documentation, configuration information, and deployment artifacts in approved repositories.
- Participate in code reviews, vulnerability scanning/remediation, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with systems, security, database, cloud, and administrative teams.
- Support GIS/geospatial integrations where applicable, preferably using ESRI/ArcGIS technologies.
- Contribute to testing, stakeholder feedback cycles, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in Agile web and database application development.
- Strong proficiency in .NET/C# and modern front-end development.
- Experience with UI/UX design and implementation.
- Experience developing and integrating APIs, including RESTful APIs.
- Experience architecting or developing applications in Azure and AWS.
- Knowledge of secure software development practices and web application security standards such as OWASP.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently design and own technical solutions with limited oversight.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Application Development certification (.NET required).
- Secure development certification.
- Federal government or FISMA-regulated environment experience preferred.
- GIS/ESRI integration experience preferred.
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled capabilities within applications or business processes is a plus; heavy AI/ML development is not required.
