Vielfältige Aufgaben

• You operate and continuously enhance Apache web servers and Tomcat application servers on Linux systems and in Kubernetes clusters, ensuring a reliable and future-ready web platform.
• As part of your role, you develop modern platform solutions for internal customers and development teams.
• By designing APIs, self-services and automated platform functions, you make the platform easier and more efficient to use.
• You continuously develop the web platform as a product, turning recurring operational activities into robust, easy-to-use services.
• From updates and patches to migrations, you plan and implement changes across web and application servers.
• With a strong focus on automation, you advance operations, standardisation and self-service processes.
• Your responsibilities also include developing production-grade automation, platform APIs and self-service interfaces, from design and implementation to testing, documentation and reliable operation.
• As part of the team, you regularly participate in the rotating 24/7 on-call service, which can be handled entirely remotely.

Überzeugendes Profil

• You have a degree in an IT-related field and relevant professional experience, combined with the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with technical topics and take responsibility in a platform environment.
• With hands-on experience in Apache web servers, Tomcat application servers and Java-based runtime environments, you bring solid Linux and Kubernetes knowledge to reliably operate and systematically analyse applications and platform components.
• When developing platform APIs and production-grade software components, you work confidently with Git, CI/CD and programming languages such as Go, Python or comparable technologies.
• Sound API design, automated testing, clear interfaces and maintainability are important to you, as is documenting technical decisions in a clear and structured way.
• In your daily work, you set clear priorities, identify dependencies and risks early, and collaborate with the team to develop sustainable platform services.
• You communicate fluently in English; knowledge of Portuguese and/or German is a plus.

We are EnBW's IT infrastructure Platform. We provide the entire EnBW Group with a flexible, stable, secure, and efficient IT environment. We advise colleagues in projects and teams on how to make optimal use of our technologies and services. Our platform is highly automated, economically efficient, compliant, and sustainable. We are passionate about tech! We see ourselves as a partner for PaaS, IaC, on-premises, and public cloud services. We are experts in IT infrastructure, software development, service management, and automation. To support us in this mission, we are looking for Web Solution Platform Engineers.
