Project MORE is seeking a talented individual to build, test, and optimize a new primary website for our organization. An ideal candidate has proven experience working on the front-end design of WordPress sites and experience designing site architecture and content flows that focus on a positive user experience. A candidate should understand how a marketing tech stack fits into and best integrates within a website. Bonus points to a candidate who has experience working within the nonprofit sector. This position will serve as project manager for everything to do with the build of the new site from design to go-live. Type: Contractor Anticipated Term: Project Based Type/Compensation: Temporary - Paid based on Project Milestone Completion Workplace: Remote RESPONSIBILITIES Build entirely new website using WordPress and Divi builder Test and QA web components Integrate marketing technology and other digital organization tools into the website (subscriber forms, contact forms, heat mapping, analytic tracking) Create a fluid and clean user experience that drives partners and community members to a desired action or into a journey. Liaise with team members and serve as de-facto project manager of the new website, using tools like Zoho Projects to provide deliverables and manage deadlines Optimize website using A/B and beta testing and data analysis Communicate design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes. Provide insight and suggestions to our existing site plan/map Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI (user interface) specifications communicating scenarios (hypothetical users), end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to other people working on a product Work with creative directors and visual designers to incorporate a visual or brand identity into the finished product Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps Create reports and manage marketing integrations Coordinate design, content, and web assets from their respective teams Suggest, craft, adapt, and copy edit content, as needed Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Required: High school diploma 2 - 4 years experience with web design, development, and/or UX/UI with a demonstrated portfolio Is currently enrolled or has graduated with a degree in marketing, advertising, business administration or similar field in a university or higher education system (2 more years experience can substitute for this) Must be familiar with web building tools and Content Management Systems (CMS) Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS Good understanding of SEO principles Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues Excellent visual design skills Proficient with WordPress (able to generate and adapt WordPress themes and plugins) Work effectively and efficiently independently and collaboratively Manage multiple deliverables simultaneously Familiar with Project Management or Task Management software Have regular access to a desktop/laptop computer and a smartphone or tablet with access to data/broadband connection Desired: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in business, marketing, communications, information technology/systems, graphic design, web development, or similar Familiarity with reporting tools and marketing KPIs A strong understanding of customer journeys Experience working with LGBTQ+ community and nonprofit organizations Understand of two-sided marketplace - B2B and B2C Understanding of web programming languages such as PHP and JavaScript Artistic eye for design Ability to think creatively Strong problem-solving skills Experience working with debugging tools Benefits Compensation is $2000-$3000 (DOE) for entire project completion This position is paid independent contractor and is not eligible for hourly employment benefits but is eligible to receive the following great benefits: Academic credit Community service hours Flexible scheduling Goal incentives Paid travel, meal, and work expenses Team discounts Telecommuting/Remote Work/Work from Home
