The Wellbeing & Workplace Partner creates a healthy, safe, and inspiring workplace that enables employees to do their best work. Partnering with leaders and employees, the role leads Another Star's wellbeing, workplace, occupational health, and workplace safety practices by developing initiatives that support healthy ways of working, prevent absence, and ensure compliance with health and safety obligations. Through prevention, data-driven insights, and continuous improvement, the role helps create Another Star's one-of-a-kind workplace where employees feel supported, can perform at their best, and choose to stay and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading workplace wellbeing, safety, ergonomics, and occupational health initiatives that enable employees to do their best work.
- Advise and coach managers on sickness management, absence prevention, workplace accommodations, and recognising early signs of stress, burnout, or disengagement to support early intervention and employee wellbeing.
- Partner with the HR team to coordinate the sickness absence process, including occupational health providers, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal policies, and supporting timely and sustainable return-to-work.
- Lead the continuous improvement of the sickness absence and prevention strategy and processes, driving a more proactive and effective approach to early intervention and employee wellbeing.
- Partner closely with relevant stakeholders and departments, including Operations, Risk Management, to proactively manage workplace health, safety, risk and employee wellbeing and ensure consistent implementation across Another Star.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, including workplace risk assessments (RI&E), preventive measures, and the implementation and monitoring of required actions.
- Co-create and maintain workplace policies and ways of working, including hybrid and remote working practices, to support employee wellbeing, collaboration, and business needs.
- Partner with the HR Data Analyst to collect, analyse, and interpret wellbeing, absence, attendance, and workplace data across the hotels and Support Office, identify trends and risks, evaluate initiatives, and recommend practical improvements that strengthen employee wellbeing and organisational performance across Another Star.
- Translate employee feedback and organisational needs into practical wellbeing programmes, awareness initiatives that promote healthy working habits, and create a healthy and safe support office workplace experience.
- Coordinate the collection of office environmental data with the building owner and ESG team to support GRESB, BREEAM, and compliance with applicable Dutch environmental legislation.
Qualifications / skills
- Strong knowledge of employee wellbeing, occupational health, workplace health & safety, and absence management.
- Experience developing and implementing wellbeing, workplace, or health & safety initiatives.
- Pragmatic and action-oriented, taking initiative to identify opportunities and translate them into practical solutions and implementation plans.
- Builds trust through empathy, credibility, and sound judgement.
Location / hours
- Location: Leiden Support Office (The Netherlands).
- Hybrid working is supported, with an expectation of spending an average of 100 days per year in the office. This is a full-time position; part-time arrangements may be considered
- This is a full-time position; travel to locations are considered to be part of the role.
