We're Hiring: Video Editor (High-End Clipping) — 3+ Years Experience

We're hiring a Video Editor who specialises in premium high-end vlog editing and AI-based clipping — turning long-form content (vlogs, podcasts, streams, interviews) into sharp, scroll-stopping short-form clips for Reels, Shorts and TikTok.

This isn't basic cutting. We want someone who can spot the moment in an hour of raw footage that actually hooks a viewer, build a clip around it, and make it feel polished enough to stop a thumb mid-scroll , plus someone who uses AI automation to speed up the clipping process without losing quality.

What You'll Do

• Edit premium, high-end vlogs to a polished, cinematic standard
• Watch long-form footage and identify the strongest clip-worthy moments
• Cut raw vlog, podcast, interview and stream footage into punchy 30–90 second clips
• Use AI-based clipping and automation tools to speed up clip discovery, rough cuts and captioning
• Build strong hooks in the first 1–2 seconds and keep pacing tight throughout
• Add animated captions and word-by-word subtitles synced to speech
• Add b-roll, zooms, sound effects and visual emphasis to sell key moments
• Design and animate on-screen text, callouts and lower thirds
• Colour correct and clean up audio across varied source quality
• Repurpose a single long-form piece into multiple distinct clips
• Maintain consistent style and pacing across a client's whole clip library
• Deliver on tight turnaround without dropping quality

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional video editing experience, with real clipping work not just general editing
• Experience editing premium, high-end vlogs to a polished cinematic standard
• Hands-on experience with AI-based clipping and automation tools to speed up workflows
• Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut Pro; After Effects a plus
• Proven ability to find and cut hooks from raw, unscripted long-form footage
• Skilled with animated captions, kinetic typography and motion graphics
• Sharp sense of pacing, rhythm and what makes a viewer keep watching
• Fast, reliable turnaround on high volume (multiple clips per day/week)
• Strong portfolio of real clipping work with live links not just personal edits
• Fluent English, both written and spoken

Portfolio Requirement

Shortlisted candidates must bring their top 5 clips to the interview and walk through them, the raw footage, the moment they chose, why it works, and the result. Live URLs only.

• You only edit long-form or landscape video, with no short-form clipping experience
• You have no experience with AI-based clipping or automation tools
• You are not comfortable using Hubstaff for time tracking during working hours
• You have unreliable electricity or frequent load shedding without a backup (UPS, solar, or generator)
• You do not have a stable, high-speed internet connection with a backup option
• You cannot commit to the 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM shift
