At Navitrans we implement our WMS, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, at logistics service providers in Belgium and the Netherlands. We're looking for two Business Consultants WMS to strengthen the team. Ideally one senior and one medior, but two strong mediors works too.
What you'll do
You go on site and look at how the customer's warehouse actually runs: from receiving and put-away to picking, VAS, cross-dock, shipping and inventory control. You translate that into a configuration of our WMS, staying within the standard wherever possible. Where that doesn't work, you find a workaround or write a functional specification for our development team.
After that, you test the solution, take care of data migration (items, locations, stock) and guide the customer to go-live.
You're also on the floor until everything runs smoothly, and you train key-users and warehouse supervisors.
On top of that, you:
- support Sales with fit assessments, demos and effort estimates on new WMS opportunities
- document each customer's configuration and the choices made, so the knowledge stays within the team
- help less experienced colleagues along
- act as second-line contact for escalations from existing WMS customers
As a senior, you run implementations independently from start to finish. As a medior, you take on defined parts (analysis, configuration, testing, training), lead smaller projects and grow into a senior role within about two years. As a medior, you take on defined parts (analysis, configuration, testing, training), lead smaller projects and grow into a senior role within about two years.
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years (medior) or 7 years (senior) of experience in warehouse operations at a 3PL or in contract logistics, and/or in WMS implementations
- You know warehouse processes from practice and you're at home with software: configuration, master data, structured testing, reading and writing functional specs
- Experience with customer implementations, from analysis to go-live
- You're not afraid to challenge a customer to go for a standard process
- You can train people, from key-users to warehouse staff
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Driving licence, and willing to work on customer sites in Belgium and the Netherlands at least 2 days a week
What we offer
- A permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary package
- Company car with fuel card (or charging card if electric)
- Eco-vouchers
- Group insurance and hospitalisation insurance
- Net expense allowance
- Laptop and smartphone with subscription
- Hybrid working: at least 2 days a week at customers or at the office.
- A solid start: you work alongside an experienced consultant on real projects and tickets until you can work independently
- Room to grow, with training and certification where it makes sense
- Short lines with project managers, development, product and fellow consultants in TMS and FMS
