From day one, you will be part of the entire deal process, from initial client meetings, modelling & structuring complex financing solutions, to eventually closing the deal. Working with like-minded ambitious colleagues you will grow your understanding of debt structuring and of companies active in a broad range of sectors. As a member of the deal team, you will ensure the best possible credit structure for our clients, in which you have a connecting role, within ING with credit risk and other financing departments, and externally with Private Equity funds, management teams, entrepreneurs and other banks. Bring your fresh ideas and perspectives, and we will give you the floor to stand out.

Role and responsibility

As an analyst at Structured Acquisition Finance Mid Corporates (SAF MC), you work in a self-managing team of around 20 specialists based at ING’s head office in Amsterdam. You are the point of contact for Private Equity clients, who you will support with their acquisitions. We are customer-oriented, and our goal is to always exceed our customers’ expectations. At SAF MC, you will have the opportunity to work in small deal teams of 2 to 3 people in an informal working environment, which will give you a lot of responsibility from the start. Your role will involve:

● Analysing business models, sector trends and financial figures, to model forecasts and scenarios;

● Visiting clients and managing a variety of stakeholders including debt advisors and other lenders;

● Drafting credit proposals, term sheets and lending documentation; and

● Working with departments across ING, such as relationship management teams, credit risk, corporate finance and other lending teams.

● 0-2 years’ experience, preferable with some experience in financial services, analysing business models and financial products;

● Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken);

Rewards and benefits

This is a great opportunity to train with highly skilled people who are experts in their field. You’ll do a lot and learn a lot – not only about your specialist area and the bank, but also about yourself and whether this type of environment is right for you.

You’ll also benefit from:

  • Internship allowance of 700 EUR based on a 36 hours work week
  • Your own work laptop
  • Hybrid working to blend home working for focus and office working for collaboration and co-creation
  • Personal growth and challenging work with endless possibilities
  • An informal working environment with innovative colleagues
