Job Description This is a remote position. The Opportunity: At Pentoz, we are redefining digital commerce by delivering scalable, flexible, and conversion-focused eCommerce solutions. As a WooCommerce Developer, you will be responsible for building, customizing, and optimizing online stores using the WooCommerce platform within WordPress. You will work with our design, marketing, and strategy teams to deliver secure, responsive, and high-performance eCommerce websites that support real business growth. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical proficiency in WordPress/WooCommerce with a deep understanding of eCommerce workflows, user experience, and web performance. You Will Be Responsible For: Store Development: Building custom WooCommerce websites and online stores using WordPress, custom themes, and plugins. Customization: Creating or modifying plugins, templates, and WooCommerce functions using PHP, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS to match business needs. Product and Checkout Configuration: Setting up variable products, pricing rules, tax/shipping settings, and customizing checkout processes. Third-Party Integrations: Connecting WooCommerce stores with CRMs, ERPs, payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay), inventory management systems, and marketing tools. Performance Optimization: Improving load times, mobile responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals through optimization strategies and best practices. Security and Maintenance: Ensuring compliance with security standards, updating plugins/themes, performing regular backups, and troubleshooting bugs. Collaboration: Working closely with stakeholders, designers, and marketers to deliver functional, aesthetic, and high-converting web experiences. This Role Is For You If: You have 2–5 years of experience building and managing WooCommerce sites. You’re proficient in PHP, WordPress APIs, JavaScript (including jQuery), and MySQL. You’ve worked with WooCommerce hooks, filters, and shortcodes. You understand the eCommerce funnel and can build with UX and CRO in mind. You can work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
