Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Director of HRIS, the Workday Compensation and HRIS Consultant is a 2-year temporary role serving as a key analytical resource focused on supporting labor relations negotiations. This position drives compensation market benchmarking, data analysis, Workday job architecture optimization, and custom reporting to inform strategy. Additionally, you will support core HR deliverables and compliance priorities as capacity permits. At Berklee, your work directly supports the next generation of creative leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Union Negotiation & Compensation Support:
- Labor Strategy Analytics: Lead data collection, compensation market benchmarking, and benefits analysis to directly inform union negotiation strategies.
- Workday Custom Reporting: Execute ad hoc Workday custom reporting, matrix reports, calculated fields, and retirement data modeling. Generate executive summaries for senior leaders.
- Job Architecture Optimization: Analyze job profile overlaps between union and non-union positions, recommending enhancements to streamline the institutional job catalog and system structure.
- Data Integrity: Audit for clean, accurate compensation, job profile, and employee data within Workday for seamless analysis during negotiations and ongoing operations.
Compliance & Operational Support:
- Compliance Oversight: Support ACA data validation, preparation, and reporting requirements.
- Strategic HR Projects: Partner with the Senior Director of HRIS on critical HR priorities, sponsored initiatives, and strategic projects.
What You'll Bring
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required with 3–5 years of HRIS administration experience. Experience in higher education is preferred.
- Workday & Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Workday report writing (custom reporting, matrix reports, calculated fields, compensation configuration) and high proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data modeling).
- Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated working knowledge of compensation practices, job architecture design, data analytics, and labor negotiation support. Benefits experience or HR credentials are a plus.
- Attributes & Integrity: Exceptional integrity handling sensitive, confidential labor data, keen attention to detail, and a collaborative, open approach to problem-solving.
- Schedule & Modality: Standard Monday–Friday schedule with a hybrid work modality balancing in-office collaboration and remote work.
