“For Planet and Progress” is our north star that guides everything we do. We believe environmental responsibility and human progress are interconnected, interwoven and international. Our scientists, engineers, field teams, consultants and professionals collaborate across disciplines and geographies, guiding industries and governments, ensuring that communities and environments thrive.
When you join us, you’re not just forging a career, you’re joining a movement. A movement for better thinking, smarter solutions and lasting impact.
Together, we will advance our way of life and protect the integrity of our environment every step of the way.
A Day in the Life
As a Workday Financials Administrator, you'll serve as a hands-on functional and technical expert responsible for the configuration, administration, and continuous improvement of Workday Financials. Workday remains our system of record, but this role is not siloed to
it, you'll partner with business leaders, end users, and the owners of adjacent enterprise applications (e.g., Coupa for procurement, HighRadius for accounts receivable/cash application, and Salesforce for CRM) to design end-to-end business processes that make sense across the broader systems landscape, not just within Workday.
Reporting to Director, Workday & Financial Systems, this is a high-impact role suited for a confident communicator who can engage directly with end users, lead small to mid-sized projects independently, and coordinate across cross-functional teams, including teams outside the Workday ecosystem, to deliver outcomes. The compensation range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000 USD in addition to an annual bonus (5%), commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. We welcome candidates based in both the United States and Canada; compensation for Canada-based hires will be aligned to the local market. The role can be based remotely, with a preference for candidates located near one of our locations in Irvine, CA; Denver, CO; Little Rock, AR; or Calgary, AB.
To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
Strategic Business Analysis & Advisory
- Serve as the Workday Financials subject matter expert, recommending Workday-native or cross-application solutions that keep Workday as the system of record
- Contribute to roadmap and backlog prioritization, and track Workday releases to surface relevant enhancements
Workday Configuration & Security Administration
- Configure and maintain the tenant, including business processes, condition rules, notifications, and Projects modules (Budgeting, Resource Forecasting, Project/Task Management, Project Financials)
- Administer the security model: security groups, domain and business process policies, and audit/compliance monitoring
- Troubleshoot issues and provide post-production support
Project Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Lead small to mid-sized projects end to end, from scoping through delivery
- Work with Coupa, HighRadius, and Salesforce counterparts to decide where each process should live
- Support change management and develop training materials and SOPs
End User Engagement & Support
- Be the approachable point of contact for end users, translating technical concepts into plain language
- Resolve user pain points, analyze recurring incidents for root causes, and set support standards
- Mentor business users and functional analysts
Your Expertise and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years administering Workday Financials in production, including Projects, business processes, security (security groups, domain and business process policies), and tenant configuration
- Experience with release management, governance, and change control
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and enterprise business processes
- Ability to design processes that span Workday and other enterprise applications (e.g., procurement, expense, CRM)
- Experience leading small projects across teams, with strong communication skills at all levels
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday certification (Financials, Projects, Project Billing, Contracts to Cash, or Security), or equivalent hands-on experience
- Professional services or project-based environment experience
- ERP implementation or large-scale upgrade experience
- Exposure to Coupa, HighRadius, or Salesforce

Join a movement for better thinking and lasting impact.
“There are not many places where a toxicologist can be boots-on-the-ground at an environmental emergency one day and deep in a human health risk assessment or litigation the next, but this company is one of them, and honestly, that breadth is what makes me love the work. We are a team of scientists with a broad range of talents and experiences who genuinely take the mission to heart, because protecting people and communities from chemical hazards is not abstract here; it is exactly why we show up every day. The culture reflects that shared commitment in the best way: collaborative, rigorous, and truly motivated by the impact we make together.” - Andre Richardson, Consulting
Do work that protects air, water and communities.
“I knew my position here would be more than just a job. Every day is a new, exciting challenge to solve, and I get to go home knowing that the work I am doing is having a positive impact on the world.” - J Esteves, R&D
