About the Role
As a Workday FINS Consultant, you will lead and support Workday Go Workday Financials implementations and optimization engagements. You will serve as a subject matter expert across Core Financials and related product areas, with a focus on Customer Management, Accounts Receivable, Procure to Pay, and Cash Management. Experience with Evisort Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) is also preferred. You will partner with finance leaders to design and deploy solutions that align with business strategy and operational goals.
You will be responsible for guiding clients through discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, and go-live, while ensuring adherence to best practices and scalable design principles. This role requires strong financial systems knowledge, the ability to lead design discussions, and comfort engaging with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions to understand client financial processes, reporting requirements, and system landscape.
- Design and configure Workday Financials solutions, including Customer Management, Accounts Receivable, Procure to Pay, Cash Management, based on project scope and area of expertise.
- Support customer management and accounts receivable processes, including customer setup, invoicing, customer payments, cash application, and collections.
- Support procure-to-pay processes, including supplier management, requisitions, purchase orders, supplier invoices, and payments.
- Support cash management processes, including bank account setup, bank statement processing, reconciliation, and cash-related transactions.
- Support Evisort CLM implementations and optimization engagements, including contract intake, review and approval workflows, signature routing, and contract migration, as applicable.
- Facilitate design meetings and workshops, driving alignment and collaborative decision-making.
- Provide subject matter expertise across Core FINS and cross-application features.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable system configurations.
- Support data conversion, integrations, testing strategy, and deployment activities.
- Manage deliverables in alignment with project timelines and milestones.
- Partner with senior finance leaders to recommend best practices and process improvements.
- Stay current on Workday releases and new features, advising clients on optimization opportunities.
- Contribute to internal capability building, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- 5+ years of Financials (FINS) software and consulting experience on medium or large enterprise FINS projects, or applicable practitioner deployment experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Workday Financials, including functional configuration and business process design.
- 3+ years of Workday Consulting experience or experience serving as a Workday Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- A strong understanding of accounting principles and finance operations, gained through consulting, implementation, or practitioner experience.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on implementation or optimization experience in one or more of the following Workday functional areas: Customer Management, Accounts Receivable, Procure to Pay, and Cash Management. Experience across multiple areas is highly preferred.
- Experience with customer invoicing, cash application, collections, supplier invoicing, payments, and bank reconciliation.
- Experience with Evisort CLM, particularly configuring contract intake forms, review and approval workflows, signature routing, and supporting contract migration.
- Experience with global implementations.
Other Requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, and the general ledger.
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience preparing or reviewing account reconciliations and financial statements.
- Familiarity with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Demonstrates a strong grasp of financial systems, accounting principles, and finance operational processes.
- Ability to gain and maintain a detailed understanding of Workday concepts, Core FINS enhancements, and cross-application features.
- Workday Financials certification or ability to obtain certification and effectively deploy solutions.
- Experience influencing, interacting, and collaborating with senior leaders internally and externally
- Capable of leading and influencing design meetings toward effective, scalable outcomes.
- Ability to deliver results while managing to a defined project plan and timeline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple engagements simultaneously in a fast-paced consulting environment.

The typical base salary range for this position is:
$130,435.00 - $195,652.00The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
