Colonnade BridgePort (www.colonnadebridgeport.ca) is a leading real estate investment, management and development company in Ottawa, with a growing presence across Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI. We provide investment management, asset management, property management, leasing and development services. Our continued expansion into Québec has created an opportunity for a full-time, Workflow Automation & IT Support Specialist at our Ottawa office. This is a hybrid role with 3-4 days per week in office.

WORKFLOW AUTOMATION & IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Reporting to the IT Manager, the Workflow Automation and IT Support Specialist designs, develops, deploys, and supports automated business workflows while providing hands-on IT support across the organization. Approximately 75% of the role is focused on workflow automation, process improvement, and emerging technologies, with the remaining 25% dedicated to general IT support. They work with users to understand operational needs, reduce repetitive and manual work, troubleshoot technical issues, support Microsoft 365 and related systems, and identify opportunities to improve productivity and the user experience. General IT support includes Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra, Intune, SharePoint, Windows, mobile devices, hardware, connectivity, and employee onboarding and offboarding. As part of a small IT team, they provide responsive service, clear documentation and user guidance, and escalate complex issues to internal or external resources as required. We're looking for someone who is curious, analytical, creative, and naturally asks: "There has to be a better way to do this."

Responsibilities:

Workflow Automation

  • Identify repetitive or inefficient business processes that could benefit from workflow automation and emerging technologies.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support automated business workflows.
  • Explore and evaluate automation tools and emerging technologies, including AI-powered solutions.
  • Work with automation platforms, integrations, APIs, and AI tools to improve business processes.
  • Work closely with employees to understand their operational needs and develop solutions that provide real business value.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees as new tools and automated workflows are introduced.
  • Document solutions and maintain appropriate security, privacy, and access practices.

IT Support

  • As part of a small IT team, provide hands-on technical support to employees, including responding to and resolving IT help desk tickets and support requests.
  • Troubleshoot Windows computers, laptops, peripherals, printers, and other workplace technology.
  • Set up and configure computers and mobile devices, including iPhones and Android devices.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Troubleshoot application, account-access, and connectivity issues.
  • Work with vendors and third-party service providers when required.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • Provide responsive, professional, and customer-focused support


Technical Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will bring a practical mix of workflow automation, IT support, and Microsoft environment experience. Required experience includes:

  • Microsoft 365
  • Azure
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Microsoft Intune
  • SharePoint
  • Windows
  • Microsoft Copilot
  • Power Automate, Zapier, Make
  • Power Apps

Experience with the following is considered a strong asset:

  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON data structures, or basic scripting (PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript).
  • Salesforce
  • Yardi


Qualifications:

  • Degree, diploma, or other formal education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in workflow automation, IT, or related technology field.
  • Exceptional recent graduates with strong hands-on workflow automation experience gained through education, internships, co-op placements, or personal projects are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience using AI tools and emerging technologies as part of automation or technology projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Customer service focused, organized, and dependable.
  • Able to work independently while knowing when to ask for help.
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and handle day-to-day IT support when needed.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $80,000 base salary

Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
