Workforce Management Specialist

Location: Parramatta CBD | Hybrid working
Closing date Friday, 23^rd October COB.

About the role

Following the implementation of Dayforce, Uniting is looking for a Workforce Management Specialist to help strengthen workforce management practices and capability across our 150+ sites.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of workforce planning, rostering, systems and operational performance. You’ll help our teams get the most from Dayforce by translating workforce data and system insights into practical guidance, coaching and learning that improves consistency, compliance and the way we work.

Working closely with People & Culture HR Business Partners, the Workforce Insights Analyst and operational leaders, you’ll identify opportunities to improve workforce management practices and support teams to embed effective ways of working. Your focus will be on building capability, supporting change and driving continuous improvement across a large, diverse organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver training, coaching and targeted support to improve workforce planning, rostering and scheduling practices.
  • Use workforce data, system usage and performance trends to identify capability gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the adoption of Dayforce functionality, system enhancements and process changes.
  • Monitor system usage and data integrity, working with stakeholders to address gaps and compliance risks.
  • Promote consistent, best-practice workforce management processes across Uniting’s sites.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders and People Experience colleagues to strengthen workforce effectiveness and support continuous improvement.

About you

You’ll bring practical workforce management experience, strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to turn data and insights into meaningful improvements.

You’ll also have:

  • Experience in workforce planning, rostering or operational HR within a large, decentralised organisation.
  • Experience designing and delivering learning sessions, coaching and targeted capability development.
  • The ability to interpret workforce data and identify practical actions to improve performance and compliance.
  • Experience supporting system enablement and change initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to work across different teams and operational environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience with Dayforce, Optima or similar workforce management systems would be an advantage, as would knowledge of modern awards, enterprise agreements and Fair Work requirements. Experience in aged care, disability or community services is also desirable.

Enjoy hybrid working, with three days in the Parramatta office each week (Tuesday, Thursday and a third day as required), alongside the opportunity to contribute to meaningful, organisation-wide improvement.

If you’re passionate about building workforce capability and turning systems and insights into better ways of working, we’d love to hear from you.
