General Description

Provides training, coaching, and technical assistance to support the implementation of programs at Urban Strategies - particularly, youth development programs within the Community Development Department. Under the direction of the Sr. Program Director of Health and Families, this role supports program implementation; facilitator training, coaching, capacity-building; fidelity monitoring; and continuous quality improvement.


About You

A knowledgeable training and technical assistance professional who strengthens youth development program implementation, supports evidence-based practice delivery, provides constructive feedback, and helps translate program guidance into consistent, high-quality practice.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction, public health, social work, human services, youth development, organizational development, or a related field.
  • Five (5)+ years of experience designing, delivering, and/or evaluating curriculum-based training, technical assistance, or professional development for child-, youth-, or family- serving programs.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in evidence-based practices, positive youth development, prevention programming, implementation support, and adult learning approaches.
  • Experience leading curriculum implementation, facilitator onboarding, skill-building sessions, coaching cycles, communities of practice, or train-the-trainer models.
  • Ability to assess implementation quality through observations, fidelity tools, performance feedback, training data, and continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Strong ability to translate complex curriculum, program model, and implementation requirements into clear guidance, practical tools, and actionable technical assistance.
  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, coaching, organizational, and collaborative skills, with the ability to support teams across multiple initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction, public health, social work, human services, youth development, organizational leadership, or a related field.
  • Five (5)+ years of experience serving as a curriculum, training, technical assistance, or implementation subject matter expert for evidence-based or evidence-informed youth-serving programs.
  • Experience developing implementation guides, facilitator resources, training plans, fidelity tools, coaching protocols, or quality improvement resources for culturally responsive and trauma-informed youth development services.
  • Five (5)+ years of experience working with Latino faith-based organizations.
  • Three (3)+ years of experience implementing Dibble’s Love Notes Evidence Based Curriculum





What You’ll Be Doing

Training, Coaching, and Technical Assistance

  • Lead training, coaching, and technical assistance efforts that strengthen implementation of evidence-based programs and practices.
  • Coordinate facilitator onboarding, skill-building sessions, refresher trainings, and ongoing implementation support for programs.
  • Collaborate with program leadership, partners, and implementation teams to identify training needs and provide practical technical assistance.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications and knowledge in evidence-based curricula, as required by Urban Strategies.

Program Implementation Support and Quality Improvement

  • Support fidelity monitoring and tools, implementation check-ins, observations, and feedback processes for evidence-based practices.
  • Document implementation strengths, barriers, and recommended improvements in collaboration with program leadership and implementation partners.
  • Submit findings, technical assistance priorities, and improvement recommendations to the Sr. Program Director of Health and Families for action and oversight.

Program Resource Development

  • Support the development, review, and refinement of training materials, implementation tools, and technical assistance resources for programs.
  • Review resources for alignment with evidence-based practices, youth development principles, cultural relevance, accessibility, age-appropriate learning, and trauma-informed practice.
  • Promote consistent use of approved materials and implementation guidance across Urban Strategies teams and partner organizations.

Collaboration and Program Alignment

  • Coordinate with Community Development Department leadership to align training and technical assistance activities with program goals.
  • Maintain documentation of training activities, technical assistance provided, implementation feedback, fidelity findings, and improvement recommendations.
  • Support cross-program learning and share promising practices that strengthen services across the department and organization, especially related to youth development.
