Role Overview

This role supports the Watch Piece Unique channel by owning analytics review, title and thumbnail optimization, and performance testing. Working alongside the channel's video editor, this person ensures every upload is set up to perform, using data to guide decisions on titles, thumbnails, and content strategy. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail oriented, and comfortable translating numbers into clear, actionable recommendations.

This is a remote, part time role with room to expand as the channel grows.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics Monitoring and Reporting

• Review YouTube Studio analytics regularly, including CTR, average view duration, retention curves, impressions, and traffic sources.
• Identify trends, drop-off points, and outlier performance across uploads.
• Provide simple, digestible performance summaries and flag videos that need attention.

Title and Thumbnail Optimization

• Audit existing video titles and thumbnails against performance data.
• A/B test title and thumbnail variations to improve CTR without sacrificing the channel's premium tone.
• Research competitor channels and category benchmarks for what's working in the watch/luxury lifestyle space.
• Collaborate with the editor on thumbnail concepts, text placement, and visual hierarchy grounded in what the data shows.

Metadata and Discoverability

• Recommend tags, descriptions, and keyword strategy to support search and suggested traffic.
• Support chapter, playlist, and end screen structuring to improve session watch time.

Strategy Support

• Suggest content or series ideas backed by what audience data shows resonates.
• Track goals and deliverables tied to channel growth (subscribers, watch time, CTR benchmarks).
• Communicate findings clearly to guide upload decisions before publishing.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience with YouTube Studio analytics and channel growth strategy.
• Strong understanding of thumbnail and title testing best practices, including A/B testing tools and CTR benchmarks.
• Comfortable working independently and communicating findings clearly and concisely.
• Detail oriented, organized, and proactive about flagging issues or opportunities.
• Reliable availability during CST business hours for light collaboration with the editor.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with luxury watches, collecting, or lifestyle/product content.
• Experience with tools like TubeBuddy, VidIQ, or similar.
• Basic understanding of short form platform algorithms (Shorts, TikTok, Reels).
