About List 25
List 25 is one of the original list-format channels on YouTube — 2.85 million subscribers, roughly 10 million views a month, and a catalog of thousands of videos that still pull views years after upload. We're a small, fully remote team (researchers, writers, editors, designers, and our on-camera host) publishing at a pace most channels can't touch — two videos a day on our flagship channel — and we're growing our family of channels. That's where you come in.
The Role
You will own one of our channels end to end. Not "help with" — own. Its ideas, its scripts, its production pipeline, and its growth numbers are yours. You'll work directly with leadership, get real data on everything you ship, and see your decisions show up in the analytics within days, not quarters.
This is a Remote Position
What You'll Do
- Run the channel day to day — own the publishing calendar and keep the pipeline moving at our cadence without quality slipping.
- Drive ideation — research trends, mining our own analytics and competitor channels for concepts, titles, and packaging (title + thumbnail) that earn the click.
- Read and approve scripts — you're the last line of defense before production: factual accuracy, pacing, hooks in the first 30 seconds, and retention structure.
- Manage the editors — assign work, give clear, fast feedback, hold deadlines, and keep output consistent with the channel's style.
- Own growth — watch CTR, retention, and engaged views like they're your own money; run packaging tests, kill what's not working, and double down on what is.
- Report what matters — a short weekly readout on what shipped, what the numbers say, and what you're changing next.
What Success Looks Like
- 30 days: the pipeline runs without you being chased; you've shipped your first self-ideated videos and can point to their numbers.
- 2 months: your channel's CTR and engaged views are trending up, and your ideation process is producing repeatable winners, not lucky ones.
What You Bring
- You have actually run a YouTube channel before — managed, produced, or grown one (yours or an employer's). We will ask for links and numbers.
- You think in packaging: you know a great topic with a weak title is a video nobody watches.
- You can read YouTube analytics fluently (CTR, retention curves, traffic sources) and turn them into decisions.
- You write and edit well — you can spot a weak hook, a slow middle, and a factual error in a script.
- You've managed creatives (editors/writers) and can give direct feedback without becoming a bottleneck.
- You're organized enough to run a daily publishing cadence and honest enough to flag problems early.
Nice to have: experience with list/educational/entertainment formats, faceless channels, or multi-channel networks; thumbnail/design literacy; experience with AI-assisted research and scripting workflows.
Why This Role
- Real ownership of a channel with a real audience — your work is seen by millions.
- A team that already knows how to produce; your job is to lead it, not build it from zero.
- Fully remote, results over hours.
- Room to grow: high-performing managers get more channels and a bigger team.
