YouTube Creative Producer
Are you the kind of person who can watch a script and know, before it's shot, whether the hook works?
Do you get a genuine kick out of catching the thing everyone else missed, a title that's flat, a thumbnail that won't get clicked, an edit that's technically fine but feels off-brand?
Are you comfortable being the last person who signs off before a client sees it, and comfortable owning that call?
If this sounds like you, keep reading. If not, that's okay, this role isn't a fit.
Why This Role Exists
Foundation's YouTube offering is growing and we need someone to be the quality and brand filter what strategy and our production partners produce and what the client sees. If a script is weak, a title is vague, or an edit doesn't feel on-brand, that's on you to catch before it goes to the client for review.
This Role Is For Someone Who
3+ years reviewing, directing, or producing video content in an agency, in-house brand, or media environment, with at least 1 year where brand or creative QA was a named part of the role
Portfolio or work history showing video reviewed or directed against a brand standard, not a video editing reel
Experience working on or reviewing content for at B2B or professional-audience channels, brands selling to businesses rather than consumers
Demonstrated fluency with YouTube Studio analytics: can read a retention curve, interpret CTR against a channel baseline, and explain what a drop-off point means for a script
Working knowledge of video review and production tools: Frame.io or equivalent review platform, plus a project management system (ClickUp, Asana, Monday, or similar)
Basic design tool fluency for thumbnail and packaging feedback (Figma, Photoshop, or Canva)
Already using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) daily for script review, feedback drafting, or QA workflows
Can read a script and immediately name what's wrong with the hook, the pacing, or the structure, and explain why in specific terms a creator can act on
Has an eye for finished video, knows when a thumbnail might not get clicked, when a cut feels off-brand, when pacing is dragging even if nothing is technically broken
Can hold a consistent brand bar across multiple clients and production partners at once without it drifting client to client
Nice to Have
Communicates decisively; when you flag something, the feedback is clear enough that nobody has to guess what you meant
Experience with GEO, AEO, or SEO applied to video, including how content gets surfaced and cited by AI systems
Experience reviewing work from external production partners or agencies
What You'll Be Responsible For
Script & Video Quality Review (:50% of your time)
Review scripts for quality: hook strength, pacing, structure, whether it will retain, separate from whether it matches the brief, that check happens upstream with the Coordinator
Review finished video edits against brand standards before they move to client approval: visual identity, tone, pacing, overall craft
Give production partners and creators specific, actionable feedback, and track whether that feedback is landing over time
Brand & Packaging QA (:25% of your time)
Judge titles and thumbnails for brand and packaging fit, does it look and sound right for the channel, working alongside the Coordinator who handles final publish
Apply a short GEO checklist provided by Strategy during your pass, flagging anything that looks off before it reaches Strategy for full review
Serve as the sign-off gate: a video does not move to client approval without your review
Coordination & Feedback Loops (:25% of your time)
Flag recurring quality issues with a specific creator or production partner to the Coordinator and AM; you inform creator bench decisions, you don't own them
Sit in on GEO/YouTube strategy planning calls when a topic or format approach could affect script or video craft; ask questions upstream rather than catching problems after the fact
Maintain a lightweight record of what you've reviewed and approved per client, so status is checkable without pulling you into every conversation
What Success Looks Like
After 90 days:
Every video that ships has passed your quality and brand review before it reaches the client
Script feedback turnaround doesn't become the bottleneck in the production timeline
Recurring quality issues by creator or partner are flagged before they repeat a third time
