FP&A Manager - Group Consolidation & Reporting
Reports to: Managing Director / Finance Lead
Location: Netherlands (on-site/hybrid)
Sponsorship: Available if required (recognised sponsor status)
Compensation: Competitive, benchmarked to senior accountant / assistant controller level
Mandate
Own the group's consolidated financial reporting as the entity count grows through active M&A activity. This role is the financial backbone behind clean, audit-ready numbers — essential groundwork for integration accounting today.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and own monthly/quarterly group consolidation across parent and subsidiary entities
- Manage accrual accounting: identify, book, and reconcile accruals as part of month-end close
- Maintain intercompany eliminations and ensure consistency of accounting treatment across entities (particularly post-acquisition)
- Support integration of newly acquired entities' financials into group reporting structures
- Prepare supporting schedules and reconciliations for external audit
- Partner with (or help select and implement) ERP systems for multi-entity accounting as the group scales
- Flag reporting gaps or control weaknesses as new entities are onboarded
Requirements
- Bachelor-level education in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's a plus, not required)
- Demonstrated experience managing consolidation and accruals in a multi-entity environment
- Advanced Excel proficiency (required) — pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation modeling
- Bilingual Chinese & English (ideal, not mandatory)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP
- Comfortable operating with limited finance-team infrastructure in a scaling environment
Success Metrics — First 6 Months
- Clean, timely monthly consolidation with documented close process
- Accrual and intercompany reconciliation process formalized and repeatable
- Financials for at least one newly integrated entity fully onboarded into group reporting
