ABOUT BEZOS ACADEMY

At Bezos Academy, we believe all children deserve the great start that excellent early education provides, including in under-resourced communities. Our mission is to nurture the potential in every child to become a creative leader, original thinker, and lifelong learner by inventing the solutions needed to scale early childhood education. We are a unique organization that realizes our mission in two ways. First, we operate a multi-state network of schools in under-resourced communities, offering quality Montessori-inspired preschool at no cost to families. Second, we create tools, products, technology, and other solutions designed to reach young children and their caregivers well beyond the walls of our schools. We aspire to have a profound, large-scale impact on children ages zero to five.

As the Senior Accountant (internally titled Accounting Manager) at Bezos Academy, you will join the accounting team to support the development of systems, processes, policies, and procedures to support a non-profit network of tuition-free, Montessori-inspired preschools in underserved communities as well as our product team. You will report to the Controller and will be responsible for day-to-day operations of accounting processes and procedures including end-to-end general ledger accounting, fixed asset, leasing, tax, accounts payable, and supporting the monthly close and accounting reporting deliverables. You will partner with others in creating and maintaining accounting policies and procedures that support a strong internal control environment. Above all, you are a mission-driven, experienced accounting professional who is willing to roll up your sleeves to build accounting operations while developing the systems and processes necessary to scale our organization and its impact.
