Job Description Summary $10,000 Sign On Bonus & up to $5,000 Relocation Bonus The Advanced Modality Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager or Director. Under limited supervision, the Advances Modality Supervisor coordinates the clinical operations to include equipment, personnel, scheduling, financial and customer service functions of a specific modality and in some cases on a secondary basis, other imaging modalities for the MUHA Radiology Department at all facilities. This role operates Medical Imaging equipment to produce images or scans of the body for diagnostic purposes. Other duties as deemed necessary. Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type Employee Worker Sub-Type​ Regular Cost Center CC002354 CHS - Radiology ICCE Administration Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-29 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Work Shift Job Description Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology and three to five years of work experience within the specific work area; prior three years of supervisory experience preferred. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association for the advanced modality. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR /AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Additional Job Description (NOTE: The following descriptions are applicable to this section: 1) Continuous – 6-8 hours per shift; 2) Frequent – 2-6 hours per shift; 3) Infrequent – 0-2 hours per shift) Ability to perform job functions while standing. (Continuous) Ability to perform job functions while sitting. (Infrequent) Ability to perform job functions while walking. (Continuous) Ability to climb ladders/step stools. (Frequent to Infrequent) Ability to work indoors. (Continuous) Ability to work from elevated areas, specifically step stools. (Frequent to Infrequent) Ability to work in confined/cramped spaces. (Infrequent) Ability to perform job functions from kneeling positions. (Frequent) Ability to bend at the waist. (Frequent) Ability to twist at the waist. (Frequent) Ability to squat and perform job functions. (Frequent) Ability to perform ‘pinching’ operations. (Frequent) Ability to fully use both hands/arms. (Continuous) Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders. (Continuous) Ability to fully use both legs. (Continuous) Ability to reach in all directions. (Continuous) Possess good finger dexterity. (Continuous) Ability to maintain tactile sensory functions. (Continuous) Ability to maintain good olfactory sensory function. (Continuous) Ability to lift and carry, up to 200 feet, 50#, unassisted. Ability to lift patients and move patients to 350#(+/-), assisted. Ability to lift objects from floor level to height of 72 inches, to 50#, unassisted. Ability to lower objects, to 50#(+/-), from height of 72 inches, unassisted. Ability to push/pull objects/patients to 350#(+/-), unassisted. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction. (Continuous) Ability to hear and understand whispered conversations at a distance of 3 feet. Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements. (Continuous) Ability to be qualified physically (by medical personnel) for respirator use, initially and annually. Must possess excellent hand to eye coordination. Additional New Requirements: Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations. Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Computer literacy. Ability to work overtime as required. Ability to learn and use new processes, tools, equipment as required.
