Premier Global Links LLC is seeking an experienced Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer to join a high-growth aerospace and defense technology company in Torrance, California.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity for a manufacturing professional who has experience building complex hardware, developing manufacturing processes, and scaling production capabilities from early prototypes to reliable, repeatable manufacturing operations.
You will take ownership of critical manufacturing processes and work closely with design and engineering teams to establish production-ready methods, improve manufacturability, and expand manufacturing capacity.
The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with practical experience in fabrication, assembly, testing, process development, and manufacturing scale-up. This role is particularly suited to an engineer who enjoys solving challenging hardware manufacturing problems and taking projects from concept and prototype through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Own manufacturing processes for critical hardware components and subsystems from development through production.
- Develop, implement, and scale manufacturing processes for complex aerospace and defense hardware.
- Transition prototype and development processes into reliable, repeatable, production-ready operations.
- Establish and expand manufacturing capacity to support increasing production demand.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including build instructions, work instructions, test procedures, safety documentation, and manufacturing Bills of Materials (mBOMs).
- Collaborate with design engineers to improve Design for Manufacturability (DFM), assembly efficiency, and production readiness.
- Design and develop tooling, fixtures, assembly processes, and practical manufacturing methods.
- Support hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing, and manufacturing process validation.
- Troubleshoot production challenges and implement improvements in quality, throughput, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Identify manufacturing bottlenecks and develop engineering solutions to improve production performance.
- Lead manufacturing projects independently and take ownership of measurable technical and operational outcomes.
- Support the development, optimization, and expansion of manufacturing operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience involving complex hardware.
- Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing processes and scaling manufacturing capabilities from early-stage operations.
- Practical experience with hardware fabrication, assembly, testing, or manufacturing process development.
- Proven ability to transition prototype or development processes into scalable production operations.
- Experience with manufacturing documentation, process development, tooling, or Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Strong engineering problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to independently manage technical projects and deliver measurable results.
- Willingness and ability to work on-site five days per week in Torrance, California.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person and able to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or advanced hardware manufacturing.
- Experience with composites, solid rocket motors, bonding, epoxy, or specialty materials processing.
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes such as Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), heat treating, or precision machining.
- Experience scaling manufacturing operations from prototype quantities to hundreds or thousands of units annually.
- Experience designing and developing manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and assembly systems.
- Experience creating production work instructions, test procedures, and manufacturing Bills of Materials (mBOMs).
- Background in a fast-paced, high-growth hardware engineering or technology environment.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex manufacturing challenges and execute with urgency.
