Position: Agricultural Heavy Equipment Technician

Location: Western Australia, Australia

Work Type: On-site

Must have:

• Candidates must be open to visa sponsorship. The applicant will cover related expenses
• Experience in an agricultural background
• Hands-on with big equipments

Job Description:

• Oversee and carry out the maintenance on a fleet of light vehicles, trucks, tractors, sprayers, harvesters, and a range of farm support equipment.
• Ensure all maintenance is carried out in a timely and professional manner in accordance with manufacturers’ requirements. This would include:
• Conducting diagnostic tests and analysing/actioning results.
• Keeping accurate maintenance records.
• Ensuring all vehicles and equipment are serviced in a timely manner.
• Provide technical advice to the Farm Manager.
• Ensure pre-season maintenance is completed ahead of time.
• Attend call-outs as required.
• Assist with managing and conducting spraying, seeding, and harvesting operations as required.
• Identify and report any health and safety hazards, incidents or issues.
• Other general farm duties as required.

Qualifications

Do you recognise yourself in the following statements?

• Previous experience as an Agricultural Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Maintenance Manager, Workshop Manager, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or similar
• Experience in agriculture, transport, earthmoving or mining
• Experience in operating large-scale plant and equipment.
• A willingness to learn and work safely, adopt new practices, further develop skills, and work in a team environment.
• The ability to demonstrate a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
• Good communication skills.
• Qualified as a mechanic
• Class MC Driver’s License (preferred but not essential).
