AI Platform Engineer – AI Capabilities & Developer Platform

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amstelveen, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Experience: 6-8 years.

Hybrid: 2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from Office

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced AI Platform Engineer, who will turn AI best practices into reusable platform services, SDKs, templates, developer journeys, architectural blueprints, and governance patterns. You will help ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and easy to adopt.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Define and maintain AI architecture standards and reference architectures.
• Translate emerging AI patterns into enterprise-ready standards and reusable capabilities.
• Build shared AI services covering security, access management, observability, and scalability.
• Develop SDKs, templates, accelerators, and reference implementations for ML, GenAI, AI agents, and AI systems.
• Improve the AI developer experience and drive adoption across domains.
• Design cloud-native solutions, CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation.
• Integrate AI services, AKS, and supporting platforms.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, risk, data governance, and regulatory teams.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong Python software engineering skills, including design patterns, packaging, and coding best practices.
• Strong Azure knowledge, including networking and IAM / Entra ID.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment strategies.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes reliability engineering, observability, scalability, and availability.
• Experience with ML lifecycle, MLOps, LLMOps, Generative AI, AI Agents, and RAG.
• Understanding of AI evaluation, monitoring, security, governance, and architecture.
• Strong systems-thinking, communication, collaboration, and developer experience mindset.
