Use Your Power for Purpose

The AI Portfolio & Delivery Lead is a high-impact transformation role chartered to convert Pfizer Global Supply's (PGS) AI-native ambition into scaled, sustained operational value across the Global Hospital & Biosimilars manufacturing network (GH&B MFG). Reporting directly to the GH&B Operational Excellence & AI Transformation Lead, this individual will serve as the enterprise orchestrator of GH&B's Manufacturing AI Transformation Program. They will bring together operational leaders, site teams, Digital experts, and business stakeholders to deliver transformational change at scale.

You will be accountable for translating strategy into action and ensuring that AI investments yield measurable improvements in safety, quality, supply reliability, productivity, cost efficiency, and colleague effectiveness.

The successful candidate will move fluidly between shaping the AI roadmap with senior stakeholders and rolling up their sleeves with site teams to accelerate deployment, replication, and drive AI fluency and adoption. Success in this role is measured not by activity, but by realized, sustained value.

What You Will Achieve

Strategy & Roadmap Ownership

  • Translate the PGS AI Native vision into an actionable, sequenced delivery roadmap for GH&B MFG.
  • Own end-to-end execution of the AI roadmap, prioritizing which processes are redesigned and in what order, based on value, feasibility, and network readiness.
  • Build alignment across stakeholders and establish a clear path from innovation to scaled execution.
  • Partner with the leadership to continuously refine scope, sequencing, and investment priorities as the AI and Digital programs mature (eg. Integrated Tech Roadmap, Digital Prioritization).
  • Tracks value delivery against the roadmap including escalations and Critical Need To Know communications to leadership.

Program Execution & Delivery

  • Partner closely with Site AI Champions/Transformation Leads and business leaders to drive engagement, adoption, and capability building.
  • Advance AI fluency and change adoption across the network, helping colleagues confidently leverage AI Tools and ways of working.
  • Sequence interdependent initiatives across multiple Squads and opportunities, allocating capacity to the highest-value work while protecting delivery quality and pace.
  • Directly manage the deployment and replication of AI-enabled solutions across sites — from pilot through scale — ensuring consistent implementation standards and rapid time-to-value.

Value Realization & Governance

  • Track value delivery rigorously against the roadmap using clear, quantifiable metrics; maintain a single source of truth for program status.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and drive resolution of risks, roadblocks, and resourcing conflicts, escalating to leadership where executive intervention is required.
  • Establish and chair governance forums that keep leadership and stakeholders informed and engaged.

Core Competencies

  • Execution discipline: converts ambiguity into a sequenced, resourced, trackable plan — and holds the line on delivery.
  • Operational credibility: earns trust quickly; comfortable on shop floor and boardrooms alike.
  • Influence without full authority: aligns squads, site leaders, and executive sponsors who do not directly report to this role.
  • Structured problem-solving: diagnoses root cause of delivery friction and resolves it, rather than escalating by default.
  • Clear, concise communication: distills complex, multi-workstream programs into decision-ready updates for senior stakeholders.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 8+ years of experience; OR a Master’s degree with more than 7+ years of experience; OR a Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience.
  • Senior manufacturing, automation, or supply chain leader with deep, credible operational experience gained inside a complex manufacturing network.
  • Demonstrated track record leading large-scale operational or digital transformations, ideally using agile, sprint-based, or other program management models.
  • Proven experience bridging manufacturing operations with digital and AI-enabled capabilities — able to speak credibly to across manufacturing and digital leaders.
  • Strong program management skills, with experience prioritizing and delivering multiple initiatives at once.
  • Carries out work with limited direction.
  • Pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing background, with working knowledge of GMP and regulated-environment change control.
  • Progressive experience in manufacturing operations, transformation, or program leadership roles, including direct people or matrixed-team leadership.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Prior exposure to AI/ML-enabled operations use in a manufacturing context.
  • Experience influencing across matrixed global organizations.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, IMEx, or Innovation Coach leadership experience.
  • Experience building standards for scaling solutions across multiple sites.
  • Experience as a Site AI Champion or similar grassroots capability-building role.

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Up to 25% Travel. Some travel across manufacturing sites required.
  • Occasional non-standard work hours to support global organization
