Our client is a fast-growing, Series A legal AI company building automation for plaintiff law firms, covering medical chronologies, demand letters, and medical record retrieval. The platform serves personal injury, medical malpractice, workers' compensation, and SSDI practices, with a roadmap extending into adjacent data-intensive sectors including eDiscovery, healthcare, and insurance.

About the Role

We are hiring AI Product Engineers to design, build, and iterate on the company's core AI-driven software. This is a high-ownership role at the intersection of engineering and product, where you will work directly with customers to translate real-world legal workflow problems into technical solutions that ship. The team is moving fast and needs engineers who can drive quality and innovation from day one without waiting for a playbook.

What You'll Own

• Build and enhance the company's AI-driven software, owning quality, scalability, and performance end-to-end
• Collaborate directly with sales and engineering to understand customer needs and translate them into shipped product
• Own product testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure seamless user experiences
• Support technical implementation and troubleshooting during customer onboarding and integration
• Maintain technical documentation of designs, processes, and systems as the product evolves

Requirements

Must-Have

• 2–4 years of software engineering experience, ideally with SaaS or AI-driven products
• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or other relevant programming languages
• Familiarity with AI frameworks, machine learning concepts, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, proactively innovate, and deliver practical solutions in a fast-paced startup environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across teams

Nice-to-Have

• Experience working at a legal tech, healthtech, or other document-intensive SaaS company
• Background building or iterating on AI pipelines for document processing or information extraction

• Salary: $200,000 – $300,000 USD per year, plus equity
