Paramedic – Ground Transport (ALS)
Location: Boise, Idaho
Schedule: Full-time (36-48 hours available) or Part-time/PRN (minimum 24 hours per month)
About Ascent
Ascent Medical Transport is a clinician-led, high-performance EMS agency built to raise the regional standard of care. We're expanding rapidly-our partnerships and facility contracts are growing, and with them, our need for exceptional talent. Every decision we make is rooted in clinical excellence, patient safety, and the relentless pursuit of better.
If you're the kind of professional who thrives on growth, accountability, and being part of something special – you'll fit right in. If you're not wired to give your best every day, this isn't your place. We are looking for the few NOT the many.
Why Ascent
We're not another transport company. We're a team of high-caliber clinicians building something rare – a culture that rewards skill, attitude, and purpose. You'll work with experienced leaders who have shaped critical-care and flight programs across the West. You'll have access to structured training, mentorship, and the tools to operate at the top of your scope.
Ascent is growing quickly, and the people who join us now will define what comes next.
What You'll Do
- Deliver advanced life support (ALS) care to patients of ALL acuity levels during interfacility and specialty transports.
- Apply strong clinical judgment and independent decision-making while collaborating closely with your crew and facility teams.
- Uphold Ascent's uncompromising standards of safety, professionalism, and documentation excellence.
- Engage actively in training, case reviews, and quality initiatives designed to push the limits of what ground EMS can achieve.
What We're Looking For
- Idaho Paramedic License or Compact/Replica state compliant; NREMT-P strongly encouraged
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required); PHTLS or ITLS preferred
- Brand new Paramedic or Experienced?
- Doesn't matter, we will train the inexperienced and grow the experienced.
- Exceptional clinical skills, clear communication, and sound judgment under pressure.
- Clean driving record and willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights/weekends/holidays
- You must have respect for the importance of interfacility transport within the EMS continuum
- Most of all, you must have a positive attitude, team mentality, and a drive to constantly improve.
- If you're looking to collect a paycheck, sit idle and not grow internally, or with the company, Ascent is not for you.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay, with overtime opportunities built into standard schedules
- Relocation assistance and/or sign-on incentives available for the right candidates
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage. PTO and sick leave for those who qualify
- Continuous education and advancement opportunities – Ascent invests in your growth
- A culture that values excellence, humility, and integrity above everything else
- ALS AND Critical Care training AND experience for ALL clinical staff who join our team
