Design, Analyze, and Test Advanced Electronic Hardware
Legion Technical Solutions (LTS) is seeking an experienced Analog Design Engineer to support the development of sophisticated electronic hardware for advanced aerospace and defense applications.
This opportunity is ideal for an electrical engineer with hands-on experience in analog electronics, power electronics, or motor control electronics who enjoys solving complex circuit design challenges and seeing hardware progress from engineering analysis through functional testing.
You do not need expertise in all three disciplines. Strong experience in one of these areas, combined with circuit analysis, simulation, and schematic design capabilities, is what matters most.
What You'll Do
- Support the electrical design and development of printed circuit card assemblies (CCAs).
- Perform detailed electronic circuit analysis to evaluate design performance and functionality.
- Develop and execute circuit simulations to validate designs and identify potential technical risks.
- Create, modify, and maintain electrical schematics using industry-standard design tools.
- Perform functional testing, circuit card bring-up, and troubleshooting activities.
- Document engineering analyses, simulation results, and design decisions.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, PCB designers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Identify technical challenges early and contribute practical solutions to keep engineering deliverables on schedule.
- Support successful completion of design, analysis, documentation, and testing milestones.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Demonstrated technical experience in at least one of the following:
- Analog electronic circuit design
- Power electronic circuit design
- Motor control electronic circuit design
- Analog electronic circuit design
- Ability to perform electronic circuit analysis and simulation.
- Experience using an electronic schematic capture tool.
- Experience using electronic circuit simulation software.
- Ability to prepare clear engineering documentation, including circuit analyses, simulation results, and schematics.
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using SaberRD for electronic circuit modeling and simulation.
- Experience using Siemens Xpedition for schematic capture.
- PCB design knowledge sufficient to provide guidance on component placement and routing.
- Experience with circuit card functional testing and hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary hardware development teams.
What Success Looks Like
Successful engineers in this position deliver accurate, well-documented circuit analyses, simulations, and schematics while helping ensure electronic hardware meets functional requirements.
You'll be recognized for your ability to solve technical problems, identify design risks, communicate effectively with engineering teams, and consistently complete assigned deliverables on schedule.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Work on technically challenging electronic hardware supporting advanced aerospace and defense applications.
- Apply your expertise in analog, power, or motor control electronics to real-world engineering problems.
- Participate in hands-on circuit development, from analysis and simulation through hardware testing.
- Collaborate with experienced engineering professionals on sophisticated electronic systems.
Apply Today
If you have strong circuit design fundamentals, hands-on simulation and schematic capture experience, and an active Secret clearance, we'd welcome the opportunity to discuss this position with you.
