The University of Virginia (UVA) Community Health Anesthesiology Department is seeking an American Board of Anesthesiology certified or certification-eligible candidate to join our dynamic Anesthesiology team in the growing Northern Virginia area. Responsibilities:
Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care
Participates in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation
Medical supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)
Formulates a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care
Implements monitors and adjusts patient’s physiologic condition as appropriate for type of anesthesia and specific patient’s needs
Transfers the responsibility for care of the patient to other qualified providers post-operatively to assure continuity of care and patient safety
Supports operating room procedures
Participates in additional areas of responsibility
Assumes responsibility for professional development of self and contributes to and assists with the professional development of others

The base compensation range for this role is $469,881 - $596,311 for a 1.0 clinical FTE status.
Individual compensation will be determined by fair market value and the selected candidate’s qualifications, clinical experience, specialty training, credentials, and/or education. Please note that the pay range does not include any applicable incentive compensation programs, such as productivity, quality, non-productivity, or other incentives that may be available for eligible positions.
