About the role
You will report to the CIO Services Task Lead and lead a technical team of 10–20 engineers embedded at a U.S. Government partner site in the Greater Baltimore area. The role is a hybrid of hands-on technical leadership and team oversight: you set application architecture and integration direction, lead development and deployment by example, and partner with project management on requirements prioritization and reporting.
What you will do
- Lead application architecture, integration, development, and deployment for a government mission environment
- Supervise and develop a team of 10–20 engineers
- Run and improve CI/CD pipelines using containerization, micro-segmentation, and Infrastructure as Code
- Architect and manage deployments across AWS, Azure, on-premises, and hybrid-cloud environments
- Coordinate priorities, status, and delivery with project management
Required
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance or higher
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Math, or Physics
- At least five years of post-graduate professional experience
- At least one year in the last three years leading and supervising teams
- At least one year in the last three years leading teams that run a CI/CD pipeline with containerization, micro-segmentation, and Infrastructure as Code
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (for example, Security+)
- Experience architecting and managing deployments in AWS and Azure, and in on-premises and hybrid-cloud environments
Preferred
- Microservice architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes
- AWS, Azure, DevOps, or architecture certifications
- DoD 8570 IAT Level III (for example, CISSP) and/or PMP
- Architecture documentation in Cameo, Visio, or Draw.io
- Strong Microsoft Office skills for reporting and presentations
