Requirements

Exceptional engineering ability paired with strong product judgment and taste

Track record of building successful user-facing products, ideally 0→1

Strong intuition for turning frontier AI capabilities into simple, useful products

Comfortable across product, engineering, models, and infrastructure, not a narrow specialist

Execution and Ownership

Evidence of exceptional ownership/excellence: founding a company, owning a major product, or shipping consequential work at a frontier technology company

High agency, ambition, speed, and a steep learning curve

Founder mentality: resourceful, highly accountable, motivated by building from the ground up

Intense, high-ownership; comfortable in a days-old, figure-it-out-yourself environment

Background

~3–6 years; strong applied/product engineers welcome (open to exceptional outliers; senior leads welcome above)

Frontier-company product experience or a successful own-startup / exit is a strong signal

"Spike" backgrounds a plus: top of a category (chess, sports, IOI/IMO, competitive), quants

Nice-to-Have

Agentic-product pedigree (Cursor/Anysphere, Cognition, Decagon, Sierra, Adept, Applied Compute, Trajectory)

0→1 founder / early-team experience

Olympiad (IOI/IMO), quant, or world-class competitive background
