ASML is a high-tech company and a leading supplier to the semiconductor industry. We manufacture the advanced lithography systems that chipmakers use to produce computer chips. At our Berlin site, more than 1,800 employees develop and manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems.

During the Mechatronics Apprenticeship, you can expect an exciting combination of theory and practice. In our in-house training workshop and through practical assignments in various technical departments, you will work with modern equipment, machines, and technologies used in a highly advanced manufacturing environment. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will receive individual support and develop the technical skills and practical experience needed to start your career in a future-oriented industry.

Role and responsibilities

As a mechatronics apprentice, you will:

assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components into complex systems.
install, inspect, commission, and maintain production and measurement equipment, including CNC, grinding, and measuring machines.
identify faults and malfunctions and resolve them using systematic troubleshooting methods.
install hardware and software and configure and program machine control systems.
read and create technical documentation for machines and production equipment.
apply the knowledge gained at vocational school in our in-house training workshop and during practical assignments in maintenance.

Education and experience

Secondary school certificate, university of applied sciences entrance qualification, or general university entrance qualification
Interest in mathematics, physics, natural sciences, or engineering
Basic computer skills and an interest in working with technical systems and high-tech equipment
Interest in developing practical skills in mechanics, electronics, and automation
Professional proficiency in German, both spoken and written

Skills

Working in a high-precision manufacturing environment requires careful execution, technical understanding, and effective collaboration. To succeed in this apprenticeship, the following skills are important:

Interest in technical principles as well as mechanics, electronics, and automation
Analytical mindset and enjoyment of solving technical problems in a structured way
Careful and responsible working style when handling machines, equipment, and tools
Curiosity, willingness to learn, and reliability
Enjoyment of teamwork and open communication
Flexibility and openness to different areas of assignment and early working hours

Während der gesamten Ausbildung wirst du individuell begleitet und entwickelst die fachlichen und praktischen Fähigkeiten, die du für deinen Einstieg in eine zukunftsorientierte Branche benötigst.

Deine Aufgaben

Als Auszubildende:r zum:zur Mechatroniker:in wirst du:

mechanische, elektrische und elektronische Bauteile zu komplexen Systemen zusammenbauen.
Produktions- und Messanlagen, darunter CNC-, Schleif- und Messmaschinen, montieren, in Betrieb nehmen, prüfen und warten.
Fehler und Störungen erkennen und mithilfe systematischer Methoden beheben.
Hard- und Software installieren sowie Steuerungssysteme von Maschinen einrichten und programmieren.
technische Unterlagen für Maschinen und Produktionsanlagen lesen und erstellen.
die in der Berufsschule erworbenen Kenntnisse in unserer eigenen Ausbildungswerkstatt und der Instandhaltung anwenden.

Deine Qualifikation

Mittlerer Schulabschluss, Fachhochschulreife oder allgemeine Hochschulreife
Grundkenntnisse in Mathematik, Physik, Naturwissenschaften oder Technik
Interesse am Umgang mit Computern und High-Tech-Anlagen
Interesse daran, praktische Fähigkeiten in den Bereichen Mechanik, Elektronik und Automatisierung zu entwickeln
Verhandlungssichere Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

Deine Kompetenzen

Die Arbeit in einem hochpräzisen Fertigungsumfeld erfordert Sorgfalt, technisches Verständnis und eine gute Zusammenarbeit. Für eine erfolgreiche Ausbildung sind folgende Kompetenzen wichtig:

Interesse an technischen Zusammenhängen sowie an Mechanik, Elektronik und Automatisierung
