Asphalt Supervisor

Downer is seeking an experienced Asphalt Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in delivering asphalt surfacing projects safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards across the Northern Territory. Based out of Berrimah, this is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who can coordinate people, plant and resources while fostering a strong safety culture and driving operational excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and supervise asphalt crews, subcontractors, plant and resources across multiple projects. Plan and coordinate daily works, resources, plant movements and construction activities. Monitor project delivery, productivity, quality outcomes and financial performance. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders. Coach, mentor and develop team members while driving accountability and performance. Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies. Promote and maintain a strong Zero Harm culture. WHAT YOU’LL BRING Certificate IV in Frontline Management or similar qualification (preferred). Proven experience in asphalt surfacing, road construction or civil infrastructure operations. Demonstrated leadership experience managing crews and resources in a supervisory capacity. Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills. Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements. Experience managing project budgets, productivity and operational performance.
