What you'll be doing
- Undertake asset inspections and collect asset condition data in the field.
- Analyse asset performance and lifecycle information to support maintenance and renewal planning.
- Develop and update long-term asset management plans and investment programs.
- Support the management and continuous improvement of Council's asset information systems and asset data.
- Prepare business cases, reports and recommendations that inform strategic asset decisions.
- Assist with asset revaluations, budget planning and financial reporting.
- Support the use of GIS, modelling and asset management software to improve asset
- Work collaboratively with operational teams, consultants and stakeholders to deliver asset management initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery. You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in asset inspections, condition assessment and infrastructure asset management.
- Knowledge of asset lifecycle planning, renewal strategies and asset management principles.
- Experience using asset management systems and technology, with GIS experience highly regarded.
- Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and consistently deliver quality outcomes.
- A commitment to customer service, continuous improvement and safe work practices.
- A current driver's license.
- A permanent full-time position (working 35 hours per week).
- Salary and Conditions will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award with an appointment at a salary in the range of $102,109 to $118,309 per annum full time equivalent (dependent upon skills and experience).
