Associate / Senior Associate - Project Finance - Investment Management

We are working with a leading European renewable energy investment fund on a hire into their German structured finance team. The group has put well over €10bn into the energy transition over the last two decades, manages a 10 GW+ portfolio across Europe and the Americas, and is currently raising a €3bn+ flagship fund.

Germany is their biggest market. The local platform has a 3 GW+ pipeline in advanced development, more than 1 GW already built or under construction, and 200+ people across six offices.

The role

You will run project financings for wind and solar assets end to end, from term sheet to financial close and drawdown. Small team, real responsibility, and direct exposure to the investment committee from day one.

What you'll do

• Structure and negotiate construction, acquisition and refinancing debt with banks and other lenders
• Build and own the project finance models (debt sizing, DSCR, sculpting, sensitivities)
• Run lender due diligence and coordinate legal, technical and tax advisers
• Manage data rooms and the financing documentation
• Write IC papers and present financing proposals internally
• Keep an eye on the debt market and bring new financing ideas to the table

What we're looking for

• 3 to 6 years in project finance, infrastructure debt or energy M&A (bank, advisory, developer or fund)
• Hands-on PF modelling and good understanding of financing structures and cash flows
• Closed at least a few deals yourself, ideally in renewables
• Fluent German (you will negotiate in German) and good English
• Based in Germany or happy to relocate to Munich
