1-year temporary opportunity for an Audiologist in Yellowknife

Help people hear life's most important moments while building a career beneath the northern lights. Trade traffic jams for aurora-filled skies and practice audiology at the top of your profession.

Every conversation starts with a sound. A child's first words. An elder hearing a loved one's voice clearly again.

As an Audiologist in Yellowknife, you'll help make those moments possible. Working across the Northwest Territories and parts of Nunavut, you'll assess, diagnose, treat, and support patients ranging from infants to seniors.

Your days may include hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, rehabilitation planning, travel clinics in remote communities, and collaboration with physicians, educators, therapists, and families. Unlike highly specialized urban practices, northern audiology offers a broad scope of practice, giving you the opportunity to develop advanced expertise across the full spectrum of hearing care while making a meaningful impact on patients' quality of life.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $106,158 - $126,809
  • Northern living allowance: $3,700
  • Bilingual bonus *if applicable: $1,200
  • Relocation provided including up to 21 days of paid accommodation.
  • Northern tax deductions

Qualifications

  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in Audiology (or an equivalent mix of education and experience).
  • Temporary (provisional) audiology license in any Canadian province to start, with full licensing required within 6 months of hire.
  • Graduation from a recognized audiology program and passing the certification exam.
  • Active practicing membership with Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC).
  • Up-to-date immunizations according to public health standards.
