AWS Data Engineer (Dubai based)

Role: Senior AWS Data Engineer

Type: Full Time – Contract

Location: Abu Dhabi or Jebel Ali Dubai

Status: Visa sponsored

Skills: AWS, Python, PySpark, SQL, AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, ETL/ELT

Experience: 7+ years

Requisites:

• Strong hands-on experience in enterprise data engineering solutions on AWS.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL and AWS Glue.
• Experience with AWS S3, Glue Catalog, Redshift, Athena and Apache Iceberg.
• Strong understanding of Data Lake / Lakehouse architecture and data modelling.
• Experience with data ingestion, transformation, data quality and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of data partitioning, performance optimisation and metadata management.
• Experience integrating data from databases, APIs, files and streaming sources.
• Good understanding of AWS security, IAM and data governance.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
• Ability to troubleshoot production data pipelines and work across the full delivery lifecycle.

Nice to Have:

• Banking or financial services experience.
• Kafka, Amazon MSK, Kinesis or Apache Airflow / MWAA.
• Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes / EKS.
• CloudWatch, Prometheus and Grafana.
• AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate.
