Back End Engineer - USA Relocation

Definity is adding an experienced Back-End Engineer to help build and enhance scalable backend services for a mission-critical manufacturing platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing high-performance systems, working with modern event-driven architectures, and solving complex backend challenges using technologies such as C# or Go , relational databases, and AI-assisted development tools. Important Considerations: Relocation to the United States, Fremont California is required, TN Visa sponsorship provided This opportunity is open to candidates based in Mexico with a valid Mexican passport and an active visa (tourist or otherwise) Bachelor's degree and professional license (cédula profesional) What you bring 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend software development. Strong experience developing backend applications using C# or Go (GoLang). Experience working with MySQL or similar relational database management systems, including database schema design and query optimization. Experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ . Experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools. Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or similar. Advanced English proficiency with strong communication skills. Nice to have Experience with Redis. Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or enterprise environments. Knowledge of scalable backend architectures and distributed systems. Experience building secure, high-performance APIs and backend services. What you'll do Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for mission-critical manufacturing systems. Build reliable APIs and backend components using modern development practices. Design and optimize relational database schemas while ensuring high performance and reliability. Develop and maintain event-driven solutions using technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain. Leverage AI-assisted development tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve engineering productivity. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure system reliability, scalability, security, and performance in production environments.
