Backend Engineer

About the Role

Join a six-person engineering team building agentic backend infrastructure for a healthtech company focused on eliminating administrative clinical tasks. You will develop AI-native systems that process high-volume clinical data, accelerate patient access to care, and power rapid customer onboarding, the company's primary growth lever.

What You'll Do

• Architect and deploy AI-native backend systems that process high-volume data via API.

• Integrate direct customer feedback to shape product iterations end-to-end.

• Build reliable, secure agentic infrastructure capable of handling clinical information at scale.

• Own critical backend infrastructure and drive its technical evolution.

• Scale systems and architecture to support rapid customer onboarding and company growth.

What We're Looking For

• 0 to 1 years of professional backend software development experience.

• Proficiency in Python.

• Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform or a similar tool.

• Understanding of prompt engineering and working with AI/LLM systems.

• A strong version-control profile with a history of active, meaningful contributions.

• Currently employed at an established company.

• Passion for building impactful products in healthcare.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $120,000 to $250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

On-site, five days per week in San Francisco, CA.
