About the Role
Join an infrastructure team building reliable, high-volume web data extraction systems that operate against websites with active anti-bot defenses. You will own production systems end to end and help keep extraction reliable, efficient, and resilient as defenses change.
What You'll Do
Architect and operate proxy rotation, IP and session management, and isolated egress infrastructure at scale.
Improve extraction success against anti-bot and anti-scraping defenses, including browser and TLS fingerprinting and CAPTCHA or challenge handling.
Monitor the reliability and cost efficiency of proxy infrastructure, and improve its operating economics.
Investigate intermittent failures across the stack, implement fixes, and support production systems through on-call ownership.
What We're Looking For
0 to 3 years of backend infrastructure or distributed systems experience, with production-level experience building web extraction systems against adversarial defenses.
Hands-on experience designing proxy rotation, IP and session management, egress isolation, browser or TLS fingerprinting, and CAPTCHA or challenge handling.
Production experience with Go and/or Python, plus TypeScript or Node.js; PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Terraform, CI/CD, and networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, HTTP/2, connection pooling, and proxy orchestration.
Ability to take ownership of infrastructure from design through production operation.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary: $235,000 to $260,000. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
Hybrid in San Francisco, California. Candidates should be based in the Bay Area or willing to relocate.
