BeaconFire is a software development and business intelligence company based in Central New Jersey. We are looking for motivated C++ Software Engineers with strong programming fundamentals and an object-oriented mindset to join our team and work on scalable backend applications and Generative AI solutions.

If you have a strong foundation in C++, Java, C#, Kotlin, or another object-oriented language and are interested in expanding your skills into Java backend development and Generative AI, we'd love to hear from you.

💻 What You'll Do

Backend Software Development

Develop scalable, production-ready backend applications and services.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
Apply strong knowledge of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases and SQL.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices.
Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams throughout the development lifecycle.
Support deployment, monitoring, CI/CD, security, and application performance.
Apply your existing C++/OOP programming experience to Java-based enterprise backend development.

🤖 Generative AI & LLM

You'll also have the opportunity to work with emerging AI technologies, including:

Generative AI and LLM-powered applications
RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
AI model and API integration
Spring AI and LangChain4j
Vector databases and semantic search
Embeddings, chunking, retrieval optimization, and reranking

🎯 What We're Looking For

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Experience with C++, Java, C#, Kotlin, or another OOP language.
Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering practices.
Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Willingness to transition into Java-based backend development.
Interest in learning and applying Generative AI, LLM, and Agentic AI technologies.
