Key Responsibilities Architect and develop scalable backend systems to support AI-driven applications in semiconductor and electronics design Design and manage robust databases , ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval for large-scale datasets Implement and optimize networking solutions , including load balancers and API gateways, to ensure high availability and low latency of backend services Collaborate with cross-functional teams , including machine learning engineers and product engineers, to integrate AI capabilities into software products Ensure the security and integrity of backend systems , implementing best practices for data protection and compliance with industry standards Monitor and optimize system performance , focusing on reducing latency, improving throughput, and ensuring cost-effective operation within cloud environments Required Skillsets Programming Languages : Proficiency in Python, Go or Rust with an emphasis on excellent understanding of parallelism and concurrency Web Frameworks : Expertise in modern web frameworks like Django, FastAPI, or similar, for building robust and scalable web applications Database Systems : Deep understanding of database management systems with supabase or DynamoDB including schema design, query optimization, and data migration Networking and Load Balancing : Experience with configuring and managing networking components, load balancers, and API gateways, to ensure secure and efficient data flow Software Architecture : Strong knowledge of software design principles, system architecture, and best practices for building maintainable and scalable backend systems Performance Optimization : Proven ability to optimize backend services for low latency and high throughput, employing techniques such as caching, asynchronous processing, and resource management AWS Ecosystem : Extensive experience with AWS services, including ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation, for deploying and managing cloud-based applications Security Best Practices : Familiarity with implementing security measures, such as authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices, to protect backend systems and data Bonus Points Some background in hardware/electronics, gained through professional, academic, or personal projects Contributions to open-source initiatives Experience thriving in a fast-paced, hyper-growth startup environment Our Benefits Unlimited PTO: Recharge when you need it, no questions asked.
