About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to build and scale the core technology behind an innovative global banking and digital wallet platform.

You'll work directly with the technical founders, developing high-performance backend systems that power mobile and web applications, integrate banking and cryptocurrency services, and support secure financial transactions at scale.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and taking ownership of critical product infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop and scale backend applications and REST APIs.
• Build and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis and AWS infrastructure.
• Integrate third-party banking, cryptocurrency, authentication and payment providers.
• Develop reliable, secure and high-performance financial systems.
• Contribute to backend architecture, engineering standards and technical decisions.
• Collaborate directly with technical founders and take ownership of core product development.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications.
• Strong backend development experience using Python, Go or Rust.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, Redis and AWS.
• Strong understanding of backend systems and REST API development.
• Ability to design, develop and maintain scalable applications.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Python FastAPI.
• Background in FinTech, banking or financial services.
• Experience with cryptocurrency, digital wallets or payment infrastructure.
• Knowledge of financial ledgers and payment integrations.
• Full-stack engineering experience.
